Days to Weeks Calculator

A travel visa says 90 days, but your plan is built around weekly check-ins and milestones. Converting to weeks makes the timeline easier to manage.

Weeks = Days ÷ 7

This is based on the calendar definition: 1 week = 7 days.

The relationship works both ways:

• 1 week = 7 days
• 1 day = 1 ÷ 7 weeks ≈ 0.142857 weeks

So to convert days into weeks, divide by 7.

Formula: Weeks = Days ÷ 7

If you only need a rough number: 70 days ≈ 10 weeks, 35 days ≈ 5 weeks.

For anything not close to a multiple of 7, remember: each extra day is about 0.14 weeks (since 1 ÷ 7 ≈ 0.142857).

Decimals are normal here. For example, 30 days is 4.2857 weeks, not exactly 4 weeks. If you need a date on a calendar, it is often better to convert weeks back into days and add days to a start date.

Also watch the “work week” trap: project teams sometimes talk in working days, not calendar days.

By definition, 1 calendar week = 7 days. But in planning and business contexts, people often mean a work week:

• Calendar weeks: 7 days per week
• Work weeks (typical): ≈ 5 working days (Mon–Fri)

Tip: “4 work weeks” often means about 20 working days, not 28 calendar days.
